really only a PSA 5 ?

Had these graded 2008 and was disapointed then and put them away today I took them back out and still cant figure why
they were graded at only 5 does anyone think they would grade higher if I had then re-graded ?

BTW what looks like a nick on the right (center) edge of the back of the Bill Skowron is a spot/discoloration much more noticable
in the scan then in hand actually you have to look very very close to notice it but it is there just not as bad as it looks here

I'm guessing a surface wrinkle you are missing somewhere.

The Skowron looks like paper loss. Even if it's faint, paperloss = PSA 5, best case. Also check for surface wrinkles, even light ones that are hard to detect. I had a PSA 8 WIWAG 1969 Kaline that I cracked out to try to bump to 9 (before I realized where I got it from). It came back a 6, so I cracked it out again. That's when I noticed the hairline wrinkle on the back only. Even now, I sometimes have a hard time locating it but it's on there.

Moose still has nice eye appeal. Nice looking 5!
  • If there is one thing you learn here at the PSA boards it is definitely "There is always something wrong with the card" image
  • Thanks Guys I just took a really close Look at the Skowron with a magnifying glass and did find a nearly impossible to see hair line wrinkle on the back image but it is there never
the less so there you go. Guess thats why I am not a card grader image

    Thanks again much appreciated

I'm sure you would still get a premium when selling.

Centering may have something to do with the Unitas grade.
