NEWP for the ANACS photo certificate type set. (large silver)

Probably not what you thought when I said "large silver" This came in the mail a few days ago. This was a difficult issue to find as I don't think a lot of Ikes were sent in for grading. These later color certificates had the coin placed in a poly bag and then into flip. The poly bag caused some hazing and you can actually see the folds from the bag on the reverse. The coin is very lusterous and has few hits. I think it would be a 66+ or 67. I think I will give it a soak in acetone and see if the haze will come off. I know MS70 will take it off, but I'm not a fan of the unatural shinyness that MS70 can give a coin. Would you leave it or try and get rid of the haze?

Looks nice, congrats! I would use MS70 without issue. As long as it is properly rinsed you should never have ANY issue with how it works on a coin as long as the luster is not impaired. To use it on mid to upper end MS Coins it works great for me and I have never had an issue...and PCGS always slabs my stuff.

I would try acetone first.

I have had no luck with acetone for haze on proof Ikes.
I have founf a pretty simple way to remove it though.

Shoot! I wish that coin hadn't toned up in the ANACS packaging. Yes, I'd try to get it looking more like the ANACS photo.
