About a week ago, I noticed the POP went from 4 to 5. I submitted 3 '76s a couple of months ago and one I thought was better than my 10.
PSA Response: NO 10 FOR YOU It's been cracked and re-submitted and I'll continue to crack and re-submit until I get the friendly grader.
I'm ok, but not thrilled, with the snow on the card. I don't like the corners, nor the very slight diamond cut. Couple that with the centering on the back, and to me, it lacks the eye appeal quality.
** Working on the following sets-2013 Spectra Football Hall of Fame 50th Anniversary Autograph set, 2015 Spectra Football Illustrious Legends Autograph set, 2014-15 Hall of Fame Heroes autograph set. **
PSA Registry is a powerful drug. If cheap enough, I would not have any problem buying the holder and owning 2 of POP 5 and hope another one pops up for auction.
Did anyone see the smudge/discoloration at the bottom of the back of the card. It's to the left of the word "twice". Wouldn't that normally keep it out of a "10" holder?

That was my thought as well.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
This is a fantastic looking card. I have no problem with this in a 10 holder. I am not an expert on this card and there may be issues that have kept others out of a 10, but this has tremendous eye appeal and an overall beautiful card.
The tilt that was referenced appears to me to be the card in the holder and not the card itself.
With many cards really breaking out to the upside I would suspect this goes much higher from here. The auction count is already at 479 page views so a ton of eye balls are checking this bad boy out.
<< <i>How could that get a 10 with all that snow? I should have submitted the ones I have with snow on them knowing that. >>
That looks like a 10 to me ... and perhaps the snow you're seeing is from the scanner.
I get the same kind of dust on mine sometimes. >>
Nope it's on the card. The two scans of the front of the card are different yet both have those issues in the exact same spots. No way it would line up perfectly if the card was moved on the scanner bed. It's a gift of a 10 in my opinion.
my consignor sent it to me as a surprise...I almost choked on my lunch , when i opened the box.... OK ... lets see how good you are....
Never been a good bluffer under 6K I'm grabbing it, over 7500, I'm sending you mine.
I was conversing with a guy that fell into a large MINT lot of '76s and he said he had a chance to pull a Ryan 10. If it's the same guy, congrats to him. Lost his E-Mail. This was about 2 months back. Noticed the POP bump 2 weeks ago.
For sh1ts and g1ggl3s, I had previously placed a few cards on UniSquare just to test the waters. A couple of cheaper BIN RC's, excess '84 Ryan's, a higher priced Ryan, and a single auction of low-pop Schmidt with a reserve. The waters are not good in terms of views. I know that I priced them above VCP.
All of a sudden, the UniSquare Ryan is getting quite a bit of activity. It'll never happen, but I'd like to see one of the '73s come up for auction.
Sorry for keeping the Ryan thread going, but I am a Ryan/Mantle/Schmidt nut, in that order.

You could be right. I need glasses, but won't admit it yet.
Listed for 1 day and already at $3,600. Six days to go.

Because the label says so
I know it falls within the guide lines I'm sure, but not enough eye appeal IMO.

Good luck Rick with the sale.

As already listed above that card has mutiple issues front and back that SHOULD
have kept it out of a 10 holder.
No way, even with the leeway they give a reverse that that back is even close to
a 10!
Very ugly smudge/pd or whatever it is on bottom back.

The '76 10 has brought another one out for sale. I've seen this one before
74 Topps Nolan Ryan #20 PSA 10
Always loved the Desert Storm card, this should go much higher.

Left edge and top left corner look pretty ugly, right? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
Not mine, I'm pretty much a buyer and I rarely sell any Ryan's unless I receive a ridiculous offer.
