CICF 2012

Just a short note to say how much I enjoyed the CICF show yesterday (April 28)! I finally got to meet some folks I have been dealing with over the past several years, but never actually met in person: Greg Margulis (gmarguli on Ebay), Roberto del Bosque (Mexican Coins and More), Josh (I apologize for not getting his last name) of Civitas. And, as always, it was a pleasure seeing Karl Stephens, Marcel Haeberling and Randy Weir again. I was surprised at the sparse crowd on Saturday (I was told Friday was better), but it was great being at Karl's table without having to stand on tiptoes to see what he had.

I spent 'way more than I should have, but at some level didn't regret it. Hope to make it again next year.

Everything I bought went to PCGS, with the exception of an 1874-A 5 mark in PCGS 63 (from Civitas), a photograph of which I will try to post soon.

    Josh = Josh Moran.

    (We met briefly too; I was standing next to Greg M. when you introduced yourself.)

    Sounds like you had an eventful show. What else did you pick-up other than the 5 mark?

    Greig,

    Thanks for stopping by to say introduce yourself. And thanks again for your purchase. image

    We had a very good show at CICF this year.

    Friday was definitely busier than usual and Saturday was a bit of a lull. We sold almost nothing on Sunday, but that's not unusual. It's kind of just a short day to tie up loose ends left from earlier in the show.

    I could use some help in posting photos in a reply, as I promised some pix of the 1874-A Prussia 5 mark in PCGS 63 purchased at CICF - 2012. Can anyone give me some instructions in how to do this? I would think it's easy, in view of all the examples I see on the board, but I've spent 30 minutes getting nowhere!!

    Thanks!

    Well, with some advice from a fellow forum member, I am trying to post the photos of the 1874-A Prussia 5 mark, purchased at CICF from Josh at Civitas. A pretty coin and a good deal!! Hope this works.

    Did anybody else get any goodies at CICF they'd like to post?
