OT: CGC is PSA and PGX is BGS in the Comic Book World?

Does that sound about right?

I would say PGX is more like GAI.

Is CGC more recognized or it doesn't matter?

    Looking at anything good Eric?

I have wanted an Amazing Spiderman for awhile, not one that has been refurbished. They are big coin! Maybe some day...

CGC is head and shoulders above PGX. Both come with some baggage google: CGC Ewert. CGC compares well to PSA while PGX (look up: PGX TMNT) compares to some of the fly by night card grading companies.

yes not comprable at all. PSA/BGS/SCG will all help your value and are recognized as ligit. PGX is more like a GAI autograph. I would rather buy an ungraded book than a PGX one. It would make me wonder what was wrong with it and why isnt it in a CCG slab.

Thanks Fellas, i appreciate the input.

Mike, nothing in mind really, just giving it an eye full. i hear you about the AF15, i think that is like the '52 Topps Mantle of Comic Books

Doug, i know what you're saying, but it doesnt hurt to look and learn new stuff image

up until i was about 15 i was a comic book fan, right at the end of what i am learning is the "Bronze Age"

im also facinated by the comics in the slabs themselves. With cards, you can "buy the card, not the holder" because you can see the WHOLE card. Comics, not so much lol

I'd say PGX is even lower than GAI when it comes to the collecting comunity.
