Mike Hayes ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coin collecting is not a hobby, it's an obsession !
This Quarter consignment has run its course, as a result, the consignor [ a personal friend ] has agreed to one last reduction in prices. What ever doesn't sell either here on the BST - or - at the ANA Phildelphia - are to returned to him - and he will just take them off the market. These are currently scheduled to be returned within the next two weeks. Cut off date is September 14th.
Over the last nine months, I have looked at these Barber Quarters far more frequently than my own personal collection.
I am perplexed as to why the 1892-S, 1902-S and 1909-S have not sold. All are wonderful coins and now at thesefinal reductions - I hope my fellow collectors make the decision to pick up one or two of these great coins.
UPDATE :
Effective 08/13/2012 all prices are reduced.
THESE PRICES ARE FINAL PRICES - Please do not quote Grey Sheet - Numismedia or your favorite coin dealers buy sheets - these coins belong to a sophisticated Barber Collector who knows the true value of what he has. There are no more discounts available for the PCGS CAC'd coins, all prices are FIRM - so - please don't ask for any further discounts !
All prices are subject to an additional $9.00 to $15.00 for Delivery.
However, at these final reduced prices there are NO returns. Delivery to US Addresses Only - No Exceptions.
Personal Checks Preferred . Pay Pal is an additional 3.6%.
1892-S PCGS 58 Type One with a CAC - $1,100. NET Priced $800.00 This price compares favorably with the 1892-S in PCGS 58 with a CAC sold in the pre-ANA 2011 - from my personal collection.
Here is the original picture by Heritage when my consignor purchased the coin. Its a really nice coin and for the life of me, I can't figure out why there are streaks on the Obverse. In hand you don't see them at all.
[ Group of six Halves that I recently upgraded at a Teletrade auction - here are the VF coins I'm selling - basically for break even pricing and I'll eat the postage ... ]
MONDAY - August 13, 2012 SEE LAST POST FOR ALL REDUCTIONS !! & COIN AVAILABILITY !!

Just arrived home late yesterday and plan on getting to the bank safe deposit boxes this afternoon to pull out the Barber Halves that are for sale ( I was the winning bidder on 6 Halves on the great Teletrade auction of a few weeks ago... )
I had images of some of my old coins and will take new ones on my iPhone and post them later. In the mean time, please click onto the link below for HALVES ..... There are a few old images from the sellers and I am selling them at what I paid for them.

1839 - DGS 45 - Not a net grade ! - It's a very solid coin - Firm Asking Price: $375.00 Recent sale of a similar coin at auction was $575. This is a really solid coin, don't be scared off by the DGS holder. I had one dealer buy a half dozen BarberQuarters in DGS holders because he knew they were solid for the grade - or - conservatively graded.
1892-S PCGS 58 Type One with a CAC - $1,100. NET Priced $850. S O L D Updated 09/28/2012 This price compares favorably with the 1892-S in PCGS 58 with a CAC sold in the pre-ANA 2011 - from my personal collection. This coin just sold to another Barber enthuiast !!
THE TOP PICTURE [ dual images with top label ] is the correct image - the coin looks exactly like that.
SOLD
This image is too dark - or as some say "too juiced".
1902-S NGC 58 CAC - $925. NET Priced $ 775.00 PROOF LIKE SURFACES !!!
The close up images make it look like a hairlined proof coin. This is just looking at a coin too closely, IMHO, as it magnifies any circulation marks. It's a stunning coin.
In hand, this coin takes your breath away, seriously. My good friend and fellow Barber collector, JMW and I love this coin. Yes, it's pricey, but when was the last time you ran into a 1909-S in PCGS 58 with a CAC that has warm original toning ? It could be a 58+ for that matter.
Here is the original picture by Heritage when my consignor purchased the coin. Its a really nice coin and for the life of me, I can't figure out why there are streaks on the Obverse. In hand you don't see them at all.

The following Quarters are a consignment.
The Halves have either all sold to different dealers or are
consigned to Heritage for the Fall ANA Auction.
----------------------------------------------------
This Quarter consignment has run its course, as a result,
the consignor [ a personal friend ] has agreed to
one last reduction in prices. What ever doesn't sell
either here on the BST - or - at the ANA Phildelphia -
are to returned to him - and he will just take them off
the market. These are currently scheduled to be returned
within the next two weeks. Cut off date is September 14th.
Over the last nine months, I have looked at these
Barber Quarters far more frequently than my own personal
collection.
I am perplexed as to why the 1892-S, 1902-S and 1909-S have not sold.
All are wonderful coins and now at thesefinal reductions - I hope my fellow
collectors make the decision to pick up one or two of these great coins.
UPDATE :
Effective 08/13/2012
all prices are reduced.
THESE PRICES ARE FINAL PRICES - Please do not quote Grey Sheet - Numismedia or your
favorite coin dealers buy sheets - these coins belong to a sophisticated Barber Collector who
knows the true value of what he has. There are no more discounts available for the PCGS CAC'd coins,
all prices are FIRM - so - please don't ask for any further discounts !
All prices are subject to an additional $9.00 to $15.00 for Delivery.

Only one Seated Quarter left.
1839 - DGS 45 - Not a net grade ! - It's a very solid coin - Firm Asking Price: $375.00
Recent sale of a similar coin at auction was $575. This is a really solid coin, don't be scared off
by the DGS holder. I had one dealer buy a half dozen BarberQuarters in DGS holders because he
knew they were solid for the grade - or - conservatively graded.
Great Coin - belongs in a PCGS holder.

1892-S PCGS 58 Type One with a CAC - $1,100. NET Priced $850. S O L D Updated 09/28/2012
This price compares favorably with the 1892-S in PCGS 58 with a CAC sold

THE TOP PICTURE [ dual images with top label ] is the correct image - the coin looks exactly like that.

The close up images make it look like a hairlined proof coin. This is just looking at a coin
too closely, IMHO, as it magnifies any circulation marks. It's a stunning coin.

In hand, this coin takes your breath away, seriously.
My good friend and fellow Barber collector, JMW and
I love this coin. Yes, it's pricey, but when was the last
time you ran into a 1909-S in PCGS 58 with a CAC
that has warm original toning ? It could be a 58+ for
that matter.
Here is the original picture by Heritage when my consignor purchased the coin.
