Greater Philladelphia Expo Show this weekend

Havent been to a show in a while and this one is local for me. Are CSA shows any good? I'm just going to noodle around, pick up some card saver 1's and get back into being at a show. Will interact and get some business cards of dealers who stock along the lines of what i like. Maybe something will hit my fancy. Anyone else going?

I think I'm going to swing by tomorrow. Need to pick up Boone & Noles autographs for a 1980 project I have going.

I can't go this weekend, but I went back in 2010 and found it to be a refreshing change to the Hunt Philly Show (which I like BTW).

Seemed to have dealers with more reasonably priced pieces, wider aisles, etc...

For anyone going to the CSA show,

There is a dealer at the show who may or may not have a 1997/98 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Tim Duncan card.

Here is a picture of what they look like. The card should be serial #ed to 100

If anyone can help me out, it would be tremendously appreciated. I just need the dealer's name/email/contact info if he does indeed still have the card.

Is there a website with additional details for the show ?

I always went to the one at the convention center, which is now a casino. BOO

The Oaks location is not nearly as convenient

Just an FYI they are literally 5 minutes by highway apart from each other.

Just got back from the show. Slow friday night. About 100 customers floating around. The PSA 2 T206 Wagner was there. That was a thrill. Just sitting there in a case among others like it was nothing. Not sure why these dealers just dont succumb to doing business on the internet. Everything was either too vintage for my taste or too new (im a late 1960's to 1990. collector). lots of tobacco cards. Too much low condition raw from 50's to 80's. There were nice dealers that wanted to rap and a few with chips on their shoulders. Only thing i bought was a weaker Jack Morris PSA 9 RC for $15. I only saw one minor league card in the whole show. The 1981 Arbys Nashville Mattingly, raw and Im inclined to think it was a fake as the bottom was the usual powder blue but the photo was black and white where it should be in color. Been a long time since ive been to a show, (8 years or so) but felt a 6th sense like a lot of dealers there were desperate. Offering lower prices from their sticker price without being prompted. Felt suspicious why if a classic 60's or 70's hof card was being touted as nm-mt, why wasnt it graded? New thing I didnt like: What's with the Beckett quick grade sticker? Looks like a gold flip sticker that tapes the opening of a card saver 1 closed with a pre-imprinted serial # and then a grade written on it. a lot of dealers had these. Looked like crap! Hope show gets better sat/sun with the signings.
