OK, simple deal, a rather flashy $5 gold eagle set in a large 14K man's octagonal gold ring surrounded by 19 cut diamonds approx 1-2 carats. Total weight 18gm. Figure the AGE @ 160.00 and subtract 3.1 gms, figure the diamonds at .9 gm, leaving 14 gms @ melt = 431.00. The diamonds are an easy 100.00, so figure 700.00 delivered. There's a line on the back band where it was sized once, but other than that it's in pretty good shape.
