Very fast Poppage

I thought I would share some good news that my last sub logged and popped within a week. Not bad for a 20-day sub special.

Not sure what it will take to get a 10 on a 1970 Topps but I have an arsenal left.

Totally expected the OCs, Miscuts and dismal grades on some of the more "vintage" - Just wanted them in holders. Everything else I assumed was a 9/10. Well, the 2 on the '63 Batting Leaders was kind of weird.

First time I was hit with the minumum size requirement. I think it is a bit of an unfair wildcard for pack-rippers. I can see Evidence of Trimming but I have seen too many beautiful rookies pulled from packs and posted on this board that were rejected and it is just not right.

Narrow down your selections and you're going to do real well at subbing.

Thanks Mickey. I thought the $6 special was a good time to get all my favorite off-centered and beat-up cards slabbed! As long as I can get more than $6 for an off-centered 1970 Ernie Banks, I figured it was money well spent.

Good luck with the rest of those 1970's!!! There has to be one 10 in there someplace, right???

Are you putting together a complete 1970 set using the cards you already got as a base? It is a nice set to collect.

Thanks Mike! I still have a few up my sleeve to send over. It is kind of funny that probably the most valuable pull from that box thus far has been a JOSE PENA. PSA 9. I think it's a POP 7. Personally I think there's some 10s in some of my 8 and 9 holders.

I would love to put together a complete set but it would have to be from ripping packs so that would be quite an endeavor. I'm just not into buying slabs or raw cards. I need to rip packs!

Memo to self, do not invite Nikklos over for a visit to the unopened pack vault. image

I personally like to collect the cards raw, but I let others do the ripping for me. Much cheaper that way.
