If a card company has a license to produce images of amateur athletes, can they continue to produce images of that athlete after they go pro, as long as those images are from the athletes amateur days?
Just my speculation but I think Leaf will win. I'm sure Luck had to sign some type of waiver to be part of the Army game and that waiver included the right to market images from the game for commercial purpose.
If the Army All-American game did not secure those rights, then they had no right selling them to Leaf.
I like Leaf, I think the high school auto cards will take off once a few of the guys hit it big in the NFL. The first issue was in 2010, so next year we should start seeing these guys getting drafted.

With this lawsuit, they would only win the right to produce his cards correct? They wouldn't actually get any money from him?
