Disputing a grade

First time poster but long time psa member. How does one go onto to dispute a grade. Recently got back a 130 card order. Everything came back as expected except for a Bryce Harper xfractor that came back as a vg-ex 4! I was thinking this would come back a 10, worst case scenario a 9, but was blown away by the 4. I am almost thinking it was an error.

Are you certain it doesn't have any surface wrinkles or creases (front or back)? Sometimes they are tough to see on those cards.

Best you can do is either crack it and re-submit or send it in for a review. I'd personally crack and re-submit if you feel strongly that it should have received a higher grade.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

The card went straight from a pack to a card saver. I am one of those crazy people that is super particular about what I send in. The card looks flawless, has to be an error.

It could still have a flaw. I had a brand new 2010 Tribute card that went straight to a holder from the pack and it had a crease

You really can't dispute a grade. You can send it in for a review and if there is a flaw, I think PSA will point it out. Or you can crack it out and send it back in.

I don't think there are any other options.

    Good luck.

Straight from a pack to card saver means nothing. As mentioned earlier, you have two choices...send back for review or crack and resubmit and either one will cost money. So personally I would just crack it and scan it up and down with a loupe. It's possible psa made a mistake cos most surface wrinkle are automatic 5s.

Turn the card over and look on the back. Typically, there will be a crease or wrinkle (usually in the middle near the top of the card) that is often missed when reviewing Chrome cards as most are concerned with the corners and front surface. Turning the card at an angle and reflecting light off of it from various angles will usually reveal what was previously overlooked.

I have had a few stunning cards come back a PSA 5 and when I saw them hit my grade report was speechless. I learned it must be a surface wrinkle. It was.

It took me what felt like half an hour to find it on one. I tilted the card in every direction and finally found it on the back.
