    27s are very difficult for me...and in these grades and with photos, I'm afraid I cannot do it.

    The second one is broadstruck! Cool

    The photos are difficult, but because you're insinuating they're rare, I can take a good guess and say the 2nd one is an O-148. If so, wow... The first one looks like an O-137?

    Yep, the second one is a O.148 that is actually offcenter and double struck. The first one is an O.137

    Where is the double strike....between star 6 and the headband?

    Yes, there is a row of dentils there. There is also some of the profile of the lower back of the cap at 3:00 over the dentils. On the reverse, there are traces of stars on the eagle, but they are extremely hard to photograph. The coin is double struck, offcenter, and reverse brockage. I'll try to take some more close-up pics of the errors.

    area.

    Here's the second pic of the double struck area. Its the back of the profile of Ms Liberty. One arrow on the left is the profile. The arrow on the right points to the double struck area second strike profile near the edge.

    The third pic is of traces of a star from the obverse (brockage) on the reverse. The arrows point to the star legs. Not easy to see or photogragh but I did my best..... enjoy.....

    All Capped Bust halves from 1807 through much of 1836 are broadstruck ... no collar die was used during striking.
