Headstone for my wife... Thanks everyone for the support, ideas, and kindness. I appreciate you :)

Sorry so off topic...
Aside from case rips and cards, my life is more impotantly consumed with my children. It is a gift to have 3 healthy loving, smart children. That's the gift my wife left me. Cards keep me sane during the day and night when they are not around, otherwise, well I'm glad I have them. Thank God I have them.
I've put this off long enough.. Another few days and it will be 6 months since she has passed. Some days are better than others, some weeks are better than others. My kids and I pray at dinner every night, and talk about her a ton. I think reality has set in on them. They bring up all kinds of things... My son is like if mom comes out of her grave she will be a zombie. Sometimes they say such, well different things that are unexpected. They have no idea how hard it will be to buy the headstone. Not a matter of money, I am finally starting to close some of the pieces that have to be...
Thankfully I won't do it alone.
So tomorrow please keep us in your thoughts as it's not going to be fun. I will be glad that this will be taken care of. Sorry off topic just wanted to share. Helps to deal with things sometimes, and you guys have been a HUGE support. Thanks.
Here is what I am thinking...

Mike, posts like these emphasize for me once again how relatively meaningless a piece of cardboard is when compared to our loved ones. And the inscription sounds lovely. What about adding the word "Loving" in front of "Wife?" Just a thought--feel free to disregard of course. "Loving" tends to be synonomous with "Wife" but I think it sounds nice.
Here's what I'm thinking --
If we ever meet and someday I hope that happens, I'm just going to give you the biggest man-to-man hug you ever got.
And I'm going to whisper in your ear, "at least I told you I was going to do this"
All my love friend,
Gregg
P.S. Edited: 'devoted' is also an awesome word to add somewhere

I had my gramma's headstone dug up and replaced with a new one with both their names, and it was an oddly satisfying purchase for me...
we are unfortunately buying another one for my niece who also recently passed.. something about there names on that granite is a bit more painful.. makes it real when you see it.
I wish you comfort at that time and always...
Bob

You have done alot for many on this board, including me with pictures of your rips and organizing the group rips, so if you want to express yourself with a "O.T.", by all means please do so with no guilt. I'm relatively new to the PSA side of things here, and you are one of the main posters I look forward to reading. I don't know you very well, but I feel your pain. Losing someone you love is extremely difficult...but it does get better.
I wish you the best with your very tough day ahead. God speed...
Paul.
Later, Paul.
I know that's when you're the most lonely.
Stay well guy.
Brian
Your wording is from the heart, and that's what really matters.
Will be thinking of you today and am available if you need additional support.

I have selfishly avoiding many of your posts when you speak of your wife because honestly, it brings up some very bad memories for me of a situation that would eventually turn out well. 10 years ago my wife was diagnosed with the rarest form of breast cancer a woman could have. The five year survival rate was less that three percent and honestly there was only a small glimmer of home that she would survive past the first year. Through the works of a great doctor and an incredible God, my wife is still with me. I remember reading your posts as you went through all this with your wife and the memories flooded back to me with each new post of yours. I too wondered what I would put on her tombstone and wondered how I would fill my time trying to get over the grief. Thankfully I didnt have to worry about doing what you are doing today and my heart goes out to you today when you take the next step in your grief process. Please know that I am thinking of you today and I hope that you find peace in your grief and hope that you will be able to continue on, providing hope and love for your children as you heal from your loss.
One of the last things my dad said to me before he passed was "you have my memories". Remember all those memories Mike, good and bad. Make sure you tell your children what you remember so they can cherish the thoughts of their mother just as you are doing. It might help to write down some of your most cherished thoughts to help you get over the grief and to allow your children, later in life to know their mother in a more personal way. You wont regret doing it as this will help keep your wife's memory alive.
Please feel free to PM me or email me if I can be of any help to you. Again, thinking of you today!!!
Andrew
I think the wording is perfect. My prayers are with you and you know you can call me if you need to talk.
Love ya man

Between posting and praying, today was okay considering only 3 hours of sleep just too much anxiety. But, I picked out the headstone, and here is how it will read...
Thanks for the insight as well on adding devoted and my childrens names.
