OT: what to do with old newspapers?

Any thoughts on what to do with old newspapers? My dad saved a bunch of DC area papers from July 4 1976, Nixon resigning, various presidents deaths, RFK assassination, the first moon landing, etc. I really don't want to recycle them, and there is little to no value to selling due to the weight.

I figure most are recent enough (1960s and earlier) they are pretty common, but I figure there has to be somewhere that might appreciate having them, even if just for historical purposes.

Anyone have any experience or suggestions?
Thanks

I would list them on ebay. There must be a collector looking for the papers. We have an old paper from when the Titanic sank. My wife's great aunt was a bit of a horder and had piles of newspapers and after she died my in-laws went through them and saved any with historical interest.

Some of these could be worth selling on eBay, try that first. You might be surprised, especially the last two mentioned.

    Good luck,
