FSH 2 rare 1858 patterns.
J208(c) pattern dated 1858, the rare pointed bust obverse, 5 leaf rev. Copper Nickle. ANACS 62, probably lightly cleaned at one time, much rarer than the broad bust obverse. Listed as R7 by Snow with less than 10 known. He lists 3 known coins in his 2nd edition, this one not in that census. There are 4 different J208's. The broad bust 5 leaf rev is the most common, R1. The 6 leaf rev and pointed bust obv varieties are seldom seen. - Offered at my cost, purchased several years ago - $2500.
J211(b) pattern, 1858 pointed bust obv with the oak leaf rev - very flashy secondary to the die striations most evident on the obv. Copper nickle, a R7 pattern with less than 10 pieces known. Last similar coin at HA sold for around $4300 - this coin being offered for $3750. PCGS P64 - this coin is listed as #2 in the Snow reference, tied for 2nd finest known.
I also have the rare 6 leaf rev J208's with the NB abd BB obverse, if anyone is interested in a package deal.
