  • Thanks for the help but that one might be worth it. It's the smooth edge one that was just listed by Martins.

  • Echo...echo...echo...

"If it would be in a PSA holder it already would be"

    Edit:

However, he states "This card also comes with a full COA from GAI's Mike Baker stating that this card is 100% Authentic with no trimming, recoloring or other alterations. This is a 100% Authentic pack pulled Wayne Gretzky!"

So I'm sure if it didn't cross a law suit wouldn't be very difficult to get your money back. That line (to me) pretty much states that it should cross to at least a numerical grade.

    gretzky 2

This one was cut from a sheet by Martin Sports Cards. I would be on that.

He IS the biggest sheet cutter and KSA/BGS grader of hockey cards. I use to deal with him years ago. He made a very nice little profit on doing this over the years.

  • Thank you Matthew.

I only collect the Topps of this year but would like to know if he will get a buyer for this card or will he settle for a few thousand in the end. I thought the attraction of the OPC cards were the rough edges. I know the pop report shows alot more high grade OPC then Topps of this year because you can get away with bad edges where as for the Topps you cannot.

The time that I dealt with this seller was a horrible experience and the cards were even worse.

Man - he has to have some mega-nice cutting equipment. Fairly obvious when his Gretzky has no fuzz on it.
Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.

He has been doing it for over a decade now. He use to sub to PSA but once his cards stopped getting slabbed he started with KSA and BGS

his 1980 mark messier BGS 10s lower left corner looks like its extra extra extra sharp. Comes out at ya!!
  • I wish the KSA 10 he sold me of 1979 Bobby Clarke was at least a PSA 7. Of course he does transactions offline when the product is really garbage. He even sends cards in card savers with a special KSA sticker on the top sealing it from coming out. The stickers are pre grade stickers which means you can get the designated grade if you pay the few extra bucks to get them slabbed. Pretty funny transaction with this guy.

  • The PSA 9 Gretzky i recently sold looks better then the GAI. Centering was better as well. Personally i like the SGC over the PSA. I cannot see why that one wouldn't cross over to a PSA 10.
The BVG and KSA's i would stay clear. But there are collectors who do collect the sheet cut cards because they want the best centering, edges, corners possible. A few years ago they were getting more money then PSA 10's but people who bought them thinking the card would cross to a PSA 10 finally realized they were trimmed or sheet cut. So prices started dropping big time.
I still buy the odd KSA card but has to have the OPC rough cut. I prefer the older KSA holders before they were bought out..
