Suggestion for the next "1975" Baseball set

1975 Topps baseball had it all. HOF RC's galore and RC's of many beloved non-HOF players as well (e.g. Lynn, Hernandez). Will always be a sought after set. What could be the next set like that? I have a possible suggestion: 1986 Procards Minor League. This was never issued as a complete set, but sold as team sets at each minor league ballpark. Akin to 1975, it has First cards of "to be" HOF'ers and first cards of some very loved players that won't make the HOF: First cards of: Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, John Smoltz, David Justice, Edgar Martinez, Mark Grace, Moises Alou, Carlos Baerga, David Wells, Todd Stottlemeyer, Rafael Palmeiro, Todd Zeile, Benny Santiago, Rob Dibble, Greg Jeffries. 2nd year: Larry Walker, Fred McGriff, Mike Greenwell. A few others around too that may be non-HOF fan favorites of the team you root for. Having collected these, there seems to be a pre-1974 effect similar to "high-numbers": Not all team sets were produced in the same quantity. In fact, the Maddux in high-grade may be one of the easiest to find. As there are 116 in PSA 9 and 40 in PSA 10. I know in the early 1990's the rumor at the card shows was that the Randy Johnson West Palm Beach team set was limited to 3,000 sets. My best guess is Class A sets were produced in fewer numbers than AA; which were produced less than AAA. The downside with these cards is it was a very boring and bland card design. 1975 topps will beat the 1986 procards in design hands-down. They both have their share of centering issues. That being said, some of the 1986 Procards go for quite nice prices already. The Maddux in PSA 10 goes for around $350 even though it is quite plentiful. Meanwhile the Johnson has gone for as much as $500 in PSA 10 and there are only a dozen graded 10 - for now. Schilling has only had 16 cards ever graded period and only 1 in 10 and 7 in PSA 9. A nice Elmira Schilling example, well-centered, sold raw this weekend on eBay for about $80. Looked like it should grade 9 assuming no surface issues. I wonder if anyone is hoarding this issue but the pop report sniff test seems to confirm that some team sets are more rare than others. I also like that except for Palmeiro, there are no "juicers" that tainted the game. As the 1986 Procards issue is now past 25 years old, if the pop numbers only say double from here on out, the key cards could be real nice collectables for the ages that will be much, much scarcer than most of their 1987/1988/1989 "rookie" regular issue counterparts for these players.
