It releases Wednesday the 18th, there are reports of retail already at Target & Walmart. I was planning on doing the mini set but the odds are staggering to complete a set. You would have to bust 5 cases and hope for perfect collation(300 base cards 13 per box, 50 SP's 1 per box). I might get a case if the price is right and pull cards for my PC and sell the rest.

Looking for PSA HOF autos, PSA Vintage Red Sox and Pedro Martinez
Now I'm looking on eBay... so far, all I can find our cards #301-350... and they are all mini's! Did they screw up and not print regular cards of the short prints 301-350? It suppose to be a 350 card set, with 50 short prints... or so I thought!
The short prints are 51 cards with a player in a different pose than his regular card. The SPs were originally 50 cards, but at the last minute Yu Darvish was added. Supposedly, the Yu Darvish SP is a SSP.

Yeah, I see that now... what the heck is topps doing??? PS. Darvish is SP #288, variant of the base C.J. Wilson card. For me, I like building the sets... and this was suppose to be a 350 card set, with 301-350 the short prints. That's how it was originally marketed, heck, even the mini set is still 1-350... so what happened to the other 50 cards??? So weird! Then again, it's Topps... not surprised!
I think I'll pass for now too. As a set builder, I am already working on 10-12 sets, don't need to chase another $600 to build yet another set. Might buy a completed set from the bay tho, they look nice.

The cards are beautiful - not really my cup of tea, but they do look great. Just finished the case for the group break, and while I would say that 'hits' are certainly lacking, the base cards themselves are really nice looking. In fact, I have the opportunity to get in on a Nolan Ryan private signing and I am strongly considering sending in his base card from this set instead of the card I was going to. Anyhow, I would imagine that the complete master set would look pretty awesome if you could do it.

Saw the stadium seat relics on ebay. That would be a fun insert set to collect (If they have them for all parks) but looks like they are all numbered to 100 so it would be a somewhat expensive set depending on what the prices are after the initial offering.
