<< <i>The H927 1939 Ricketts & Mangum DiMaggio is about 90,000x scarcer than the 1941 Play Ball which you can find literally thousands of every day on your way to work. After that, I would say the most undervalued of all the key cards are:
1) D-926A Osweiler's Frankfurters Mel Ott (only 3 known to exist) 2) G499 Lady Bessemer's Sweet Onion Pies Full Panel Eddie Collins/Rube Waddell 3) 1846 Burnside Cigarellos Cap Anson (Glove on left hand) 4) Q98-1 1937 Uncle Lanny's Sherbert Lids #16 Gordy Wershing (with red tab) 5) 1947-66 Exhibits Jackie Robinson >>
That was amazing! I think fkw deserved that, for telling matty two great cards he just bought were very, very common.
Hey, to each his own-- but if a nicely centered Mantle RC with no wax stain or print lines is a common, call me a common collector all day
It's really all about defining discussion terms, because there's talking about a given card in any condition, and then talking about a given card in a specific condition. Take any notoriously plagued card, Gibson RC with centering, Koufax RC with centering and background smudges, 1976 Brett with the same, Jordan RC with dead perfect centering, Bird Magic with that black smudging on Magic and the little print line at bottom right-- all those cards can easily be found, sure, but finding an example free of the usual flaws with great eye appeal that's not a PSA 10, now we're talking about an uncommon hunting expedition.

+1 for Lady Bessemer's Sweet Onion Pie panels those are all crazy tough and very undervalued
I do have to say that 1935 Pebble Beach Clothiers DiMaggio is a pretty sick card.
With respect to the 1968 Ryan mentioned in an earlier post, I think Koosman gets lost in the mix-- he was pretty nasty especially early on and considering what a giant Ryan is in terms of career counting stats and hobby stature, it is kind of surprising that card doesn't sell for 7-10K in PSA 9.
Gene Tunney boxing cards from the 20's & 30's. He only lost one bout, and that was as a light heavyweight. Not to mention he defeated the much more popular Jack Dempsey twice. I think all boxing cards are undervalued, particularly Tunney cards.

GENIUS.
