Question regarding 4 sharp corners website

I just wanted to know if anybody has bought anything off of 4SC website. I know they are not that good with shipping time and customer service on eBay and was just curious if people got a better result through there website? Thanks.

I bought once of the website when they ran a special and items were delivered faster than when I won auction items.

Never had any problems with them on either front, but have heard they can be a nightmare when problems arise.

  • I've bought off their website, for the discounted prices and free shipping for orders over $50. They do seem to ship a little faster from their website than off Ebay. No problems encountered here.
  • I buy off their website quite often. Shipping times vary, but I have not noticed any extreme delays.
Whether it's shipped fast, or not, you can be assured that you will receive it.
Once you buy from their website, you'll be on their mailing list which includes 15% specials from time to time.
The only issue that I've had is that some of the 10's are extremely suspect

I recently ordered off of their website, and would agree that the cards seemed to arrive faster than usual, although I would add a couple of caveats:

    1. That's not saying much, as my Ebay orders with them tended to take close to two weeks to show up
    2. In fairness, however, when I ordered their product from Ebay (before discovering the website) it was during the holiday season (November-December of last year), when everything I ordered seemed to take forever to arrive.

My perspective may also be skewed by the fact that I tend to order hockey cards from them, and I would venture that since most of the hockey cards one buys on Ebay are from sellers in Canada, I'm quite conditioned to having to wait a couple of weeks for cards to arrive in Florida--apparently Canadian customs can be a pain in the neck with international orders.

But back to 4 Sharp Corners--I would recommend ordering from the website, rather than Ebay. You can still get Paypal protection.

I buy direct off of their site all the time. Always great...and 10% cheaper than eBay...and cheaper shipping.

Do they only have slabbed cards on their website?

If you are worried about customer service, stay away from their website. At least they can be held accountable on eBay. On their site, there are no rules. They will do what they want and there is nothing you can do. I asked for a return/refund for an item I bought from their website and they basically told me to shove it. I responded by telling them that I would make sure as many people heard about it on all the message boards I frequent, and here I am. You want crappy over-graded cards with awful customer service, buy from 4SC's site.

I did have an issue with a previous order, although slow, they did provide some level of service and I was satisfied with the outcome.
As stated before, I have absolutely received MANY over-graded cards from them. I've received 10's from them that I'd expect an 8 if
I submitted them myself. I recently purchased a $500+ card from them and the slab has more frosting than I'd like. I'm considering
sending it into PSA to evaluate and re-slab.

Are over-graded cards the fault of 4 Sharp Corners or of PSA?

I imagine it's just business/back-scratching. I have no idea how cards they submit, but they have to be one of the largest, if not THE largest, customer
for card submissions. I have loads of '80's 9's that are clearly better than some 10's I receive from 4SC. It's quite annoying. Not sure why it has to
be that way, 4SC has no where else to go for grading due to the PSA registry alone.

lifeshouldbefun, I'm pretty sure PSA will gong you for that last post. I'd delete it while there's time.

How about the fact I can't get it to work and keep getting the error message. This isn't the first thread with a repeat question from somebody for the exact same reason.

I appreciate all the answers, to this question, very informative as I have experienced the same issues with 4SC on ebay as far shipping time and customer service. I placed an order on there site. I will be curious to see if there is any difference. Thanks again.

Funny. Feel free to look at my #1 1980 Kellogg's set that just happens to have my name on it, which I finished yesterday. Cynical much around here.

    PS. Go Rays!!

No attack on you one bit, was joking with Dan as he has been using Neil's former Dutymon's tag of Yeeeeeer Haaaaah!

Unfortunately Neil had to leave us for saying not so nice things about 4SC. Seems to be thread after thread, complaint after complaint about them???

I have bought many cards from 4SC. Never had a problem, aside from minor website issues (I.E. Not getting 10% on my order). I call and speak with Tracy anytime I have a problem and she handles it. Frankly, she is fine to deal with.

    And Go Rays!

Got it. No worries. I just happened to get a delivery from them yesterday and responded.

In all fairness, this site has the single worst search function I have ever had the displeasure of trying to use. I still can't figure it out after trying to use it probably 10+ times. It never works and it's a pain in the ass.
  • I don't understand why PSA doesn't just buy a vbulletin license for this forum. It's a one-time fee less than most special submissions and never expires. Relative to the forum in its current state, the less expensive $185 version would be more than sufficient as an upgrade. If transferring all existing threads isn't possible, they can always permanently archive this forum and leave it on the server. That wouldn't be as good as transferring, but the upgrade is desperately needed even taking this into consideration.
