1972 Topps Staubach rookie. Grade it, or get signed ?

I'm looking to resell this card.
Should I grade it ? It has 8 corners, but a slight chip on the bottom right border.

Or should I get it signed and PSA/DNA certified ?

Again, it's for resale purposes only. Thanks.
I don't know much about football. That's why I need advice.

Looks like a great card to have signed. Do you know what Staubach charges for his sig?
  • Signed then red flip, it might come back a straight 7.
  • What's the difference between a red flip and a blue flip ?

What would the 7 signify ? The card grade, auto grade, or both ?
  • Red flip would mean both the card and autograph are authenticated, I believe they can assign a # grade to the card when it's red flip, but # grade to the auto in blue flip.

you are correct... red v. blue

I'd suggest going blue flip and go for the 10 auto grade those tend to sell for a nice mark up on good looking auot'ed rookies.

I'm kind of biased against added ink on cardboard...so I vote for just grading it! imageimage

I would ask Diron Talbert to jump up and down on it.

He should turn up soon... I'd guess the national or the next big show Chicago Suntimes show.

Its a nice dead centered Nm+ card. I wouldnt see a problem with it signed or graded alone.
    Very nice item!

I think you should get it signed. The market for signed Rookie cards is simply on fire. This will grade no higher then a PSA 7 in my opinion and has great eye appeal with the centering.

This is a perfect card to get signed because it is still investment grade but not ultra high end and I think it would bring a premium to the actual grade.
