    I believe Ike Davis is 0-16 too. I'm sure there are others. It happens to everyone, just bad when you start the season off that way.

    Ehhh. Don't worry about it. There are still a bunch of guys with 0-for-the-season going. Ike Davis is 0-16, and several other guys are 0-14 or 0-13.

    The record to avoid is held by Eugenio Velez - most at bats at the end of the season without a hit.

    Gordon could easily have 3 or 4 hits, he hit the ball hard twice last night, but right at people. But he's striking out too much.
    I think he'll be okay.

    I remember Ryne Sandberg had a horrible start for his cubs carreer. 0 for 20 and 1 for 30.

    He had a 16 game hitting streak back in 2009, if you can believe it.

    How the game has changed since steroid testing was tightened. The Pirates have scored 8 runs in 4 games with five coming in one game yet they are 2-2 because their pitching has been so strong. Looks like MLB is partying like it's 1968.

    The Pirates went 2-1 vs the Phillies, who's offense is on the DL and who's pen is in the dump.
