Item 3: Kennedy Half "Proofs with Major Varieties" No. 8 Registry Set (Complete)

Grades etc are probably easier to digest in the registry itself than in a long list here: Registry Link

This is a really nice set that took me several years to complete. As you can see, there are some tough-to-find coins in high grades and low pops, particularly the 1965 - 1967 SMS coins and the major varieties thereof.

To save you adding it all up, PCGS Guide for the set as shown is $4,831.00 excluding the 2011-S Silver which has yet to have a price published in the guide. Call it $4,850 for round numbers.

I also have a complete run of 2005 - 2010 P & D satin finish Kennedy halves, all graded PCGS SP68 (12 coins total) that are included in the sale but not in the set composition. PCGS guide is $291.00 for those.

The 1998-S in MS69 SMS is also included (PCGS Guide $215.00) along with a couple of spares: 1968-S in PR68 DCAM and the 1966 SMS in SP66 CAM (PCGS Guide $70.00 and $80.00 respectively).

Grand total then is $5,506 according to the PCGS Guide.

As much fun as I had putting this set together, my collecting tastes have changed so I'm prepared to let it go for the right offer. I'm realistic, I don't expect to get the guide price, but I also know what the set is worth and how difficult it can be to put together. It is only for sale as a complete set as I don't want to break it up to just sell the keys.

Looking for offers in the $4,500 area.
