Some Baseball art

Happy Easter, friends!

My brother-in-law is a very talented artist. He doesn't get to do it full time, but he's obviously got a passion for it. He usually paints portraits of famous musicians (ie. Hendrix, Mick Jagger, etc) and Hollywood legends. Here's a Charlie Chaplin he recently did for a local charity auction...

I recently convinced him he should take a stab at some famous athletes. He agreed to give it a rip. He wasn't thrilled about his first two, but I thought they turned out great. Here we go...

    Thanks, Mike!

I feel like I set him up for failure a bit with these, as he usually uses an actual photograph to help recreate the image - but these were both from card images that were already an artist's rendering, if that makes. So he had less detail to work from. Regardless, I thought they turned out pretty cool.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

He's the "other" D.Wade! I love the signature he puts on his paintings. It always pops really well against the grays.
