I can't believe that doesn't happen once/year with that Sunday hole location. There are hole in one's on 16 2-3 times/year. Same type of slope. Amazing,

Unlike #16, #2 requires two good shots, and the 2nd one is ~240 yards. It's not easy to hit the slope, let alone hit it perfectly.
Sarazen's albatross in 1935 is remembered as the shot heard around the world and part of Master's history. This one I think is not because he ended up losing unlike Sarazen's.
He turned down $20,000 for the ball from some sports memorabilia group and then gave it back to Augusta. I can't believe he (I won't attemp to spell his name) tossed the ball to the crowd.

A double eagle is an amazing golf shot. Much more difficult than a hole in one on a par 3. My dad actually got one while I was playing a round with him around 30 years ago. He holed out his 230 yard second shot. He never got a hole in one in his life but he'd rather have that double eagle any day. They did a write up in the paper at the time.
