How old do you think this collection is? NEWP

Hi Guys-

Just bought this small chinese cash coin collection - the Kwangtung milled cash is surprisingly nice.

Has anybody encountered simular "sets"?

I'm thinking 1930s...

I may grade the Kwangtung.. I'm thinking AU58 Minumum. I really like the toning.

The use of "Postal Map" romanization - it's the "Tsing" Dynasty, rather than "Ch'ing" (Wade-Giles romanization) or "Qing" (Pinyin romanization) - dates it to pre-1949. I think 1930s sounds reasonable.

Wow that #9 really stood out to me too. Very nice Piece, I dont cellect much cash type but that would be a definite consideration to my collection.

    Very neat set BTW.
  • I'm sending in #9 to NGC - the reverse looks even more beautiful than the obverse.

    "green apple" toning...

The set was kept together and will go along with the graded #9 (you can tell by the way the coin toned that it was originally in this "set") if i were ever to sell the coin.

I will keep you guys posted!
