Ebay Selling Help- Australia Shipping Cost?

Hi, selling an item on ebay, one PSA graded pack. Cost is approximately $350. I got asked by someone how much shipping would be to Australia? Does anyone have experience shipping to AU, what would the cost and safest method to use?

Thanks!

  • Check out USPS.COM.

I believe you would want Registered Mail.

shu4040, registered mail will probably not work for you if the buyer decides they want the item for free.

There are two forms of accepted overseas shipping and they are both expensive. According to other threads, Global Priority and Express Mail International are the accepted forms of shipping. Looks like between $34.00 to $38.00 to ship the item in a small box or envelope.

Any item shipped overseas shipped with a service level not accepted by eBay can be kept by the buyer and you will lose your PayPal protection, the item and your money.

I have had no luck with overseas shipping and do not even consider it. Your item looks small enough and valuable enough that it might be worth it. Many here have had no problems with shipping overseas.

    Good luck,

I wish it was that cheap. On items $250 or more, you need signature confirmation, or you might as well just throw the item in a small box, send as cheaply as possible and hope for the best. My experience with attempting to ship items $250 or more internationally with signature confirmation is that the cheapest you can get is through USPS and UPS and it's around $80-$100 depending on the value of your item.

Thanks for the reminder sportscardtheory, I didn't think about the price of the item requiring signature confirmation.

This is just one more reason that international shipments are not worth it.

Definitely wish there was a cheaper option for international sig con. I recently stopped offering any items $250+ worldwide, like all my other listings, due to this.

Also, expect it to get hung up in customs for a few weeks.

I know this isnt an answer, but on many of my listings I have international buyers blocked. Although on better items, I sometimes put it in my listing that international bidders can contact me regarding payment. A lot of them are willing to send you an international MO or even cash in order to purchase your item. This way, paypal has nothing on you.

I have tried on three occasions to get an international M.O. as payment for a potential sale, and was turned down every time.

I agree, on more occasions than not. I dont think a lot of the international community realizes how bad Paypal has you by the Cojones when you ship
