Another amazing gesture towards our twin boys. This time it was Miconlegacy (top of page 3)- PICS AD

Well Sean1125 really put a smile on the boys face this week.

He sent the boys two Pete Rose autographed 8X10's, several other 8X10's, A Pete Rose 1976, 1977 and 1979. He alse sent a 1970 Rose leader card with Clemente on it as well.

He also sent two books for the boys with Pete Rose on top.

You all have helped get the boys even more interested in cards/Reds. There is no price tag on that IMHO.

He also sent a Jose Canseco Rookie autograph I bought from him for my collection and it was in great condtion.

Just wanted to share that another board member really was generous with our sons.

Thanks Sean! It was greatly appreciated and my wife is going to get the two autographed ones framed for the boys to hang in there rooms.

Just think it is important to share when others do such nice things for others.

Not here, not now. No need to completely demolish this thread that was about a nice gesture. But just something to say that people dont always seem to be who they want to portray. One bad action can follow a person for a long time.

  • He is referring to TEN MONTHS AGO, and a dumb mistake on my part. Why he had to open is mouth I have no idea (as he said, not the time or place shouldn't have said anything in the first place.

Anyway it had to deal with yankeeno7's harassment of me and my retaliation (calling his family members and simply looking on his face book to get his address to send a lawsuit I never sent... Once again please keep in mind TEN MONTHS AGO).

I didn't stalk you, I looked at your family members facebook one day which you made private anyway... and have never looked back since.

You are obviously a class act.

I was young and dumb, I grew up fast. That's all I have to say... move along.

Edit: I have nothing to hide I will show anyone the full PM's I don't need to "hold anything back", because as I said, I moved along I grew up, it's something I WAS embarrassed about but since I can own up to it and admit I was stupid I'm not nearly as embarrassed.

    In before the edit!
  • As I was typing he was editing! His post was two minutes old and he already had to edit. Amazing!
  • And that shows you exactly what I edited, I added a line plain and simple.

Sorry I sometimes have trouble getting all my thoughts out at once - I'm sure others do.

    here's another edit for you:

Is it bad that I edit my post to add a line rather than make 2-3-4-5-6 consecutive posts like you have?
  • Whenever I edit my posts I type edit. Its usually for spelling or to add a thought.

Edit: edit, edit to add, adding edit, this is an official edit.

Facebook stalk much? Stalking a members family on Facebook....dang thats just freaking creepy.

You have been here two years and I can only assume that this "incident" was when you first started here. How much could you have grown up in two years. Sarcastically calling someone a class act when you were in fact the one stalking the member and HIS FAMILY.....It just seems you are still young and dumb as you say and have a good deal of growing up to do regardless if this was two years ago or two weeks ago.
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!
  • Sigh... Shouldn't be responding.

Anyway I LOOKED AT THE FACEBOOKS of his friends letting him know I wanted to call them to get his information, I never actually contacted anyone (or even Barry) and "stalk" is very far from what I did.

What I did is the equivalent of you looking at the friends of someone by clicking "view all friends" on facebook.

Spin it any way you want but looking at a members friends on Facebook with the intention of contacting these friends to ask them for his information is stalking. Didnt you already have the members contact information?

Let me just say my twins think Sean is a great guy.

Thanks again for sending them some stuff for no reason other than to be kind to some kids.

Also, let me just say my little boys spent all afternoon yesterday going through a huge priority box from miconlegacy. They have not even scratched the surface of this box yet.

He sent them packs of toploaders, team albums, penny sleeves, tons of wax(the 90 pro set series 2 brought back great memories), and a huge box of great cards for them to learn the hobby.

Just amazing gestures by you both.

I have pictures and planned to post them later this week but figure now might be a good time to post them.

Nice pics! It's good to see the generosity of others.......and it's REALLY good to see young ones getting into the hobby.

This is a nice thread turning ugly in a hurry.......Let's save whatever happened 10 months ago for another time........... after all, if younger kids don't get into the hobby, then who will buy all our stuff from us when we retire or whatever???????

There is some pure comedy gold on this second page.

Sean, I will say this - good on you for brightening the day for the OP and his boys.

    1980scollector and everyone else,

It was not my intention to derail the thread. If that was my intention, I would have explained the situation and really tried burning Sean at the stake. Like I said earlier, after the stalking and threats that he made, I thought it was important that people here know the wolves sometimes come in sheeps clothing. It's a word of caution.

On that note, it was nice to see a nice surprise make your boys happy. I truly am happy for you all and looks like you all had fun.

Mike is a such a great guy and I am never surprised by any thoughtful act he does. Awesome job hooking up the kids!!! image

Nathan, I'm glad your boys are enjoying the hobby as much as we do. Too bad me and Zachary doesn't live close by, otherwise, Zach would be trading all his Reds cards for any Mets cards your boys have. And yes, I do let Zachary rip open packs of cards...just not mine. image
