    Indeed. Even the mintage.

But they should have been one ounce coins, if just to show the designs better. The world knows the Brittania as an ounce coin.

Yes, I agree that takes away from the appeal most surely. 800 for 4.5 oz silver a bit steep in my book.

    Well, just Love coins, period.
  • Double check your purchases from the Royal mint , i placed an order on the 21st March and everything seemed fine up until today. It had shown in progress all along and today it shows complete , but i've been charged double what my cost was.The goods purchased didnt double , so it doesnt appear they doubled the order , just the cost.To add insult to injury it looks as if they also added a coin i didnt ask for which appears to be the exact cost of the shipping as if they had credited half of the shipping if they had doubled the order which they havnt. Its frustrating and annoying , more so as the mint is closed until tuesday.

Bloody hell, James! What's going on with that sodding mint?

  • My order for a proof silver Britannia showed the same thing at the Royal Mint's website -- the price was about double what it should have been, despite the quantity ordered being correct. However, my credit card charge was for the correct amount, and my order history at the Mint now shows the correct amount as well. In my case, at least, this doesn't look like it was anything other than a display issue.
