Dumb, da, dumb, dumb...dumb, da, dumb, dumb, dumbbbbbb!
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Thats some what a true 1/1 being numbered 8 of a low print run before they made hundreds of thousands of 1/1s like they do today everyday any day and every second of the second like they do today.

I don't even know what this card is.... Plus it's not graded, condition doesn't look great, it's not his rc year, and ya I get that it's #8, but come on there's 99 more of these cards out there!!!!!!!
I have twelve Sports Cards videos on youtube w/ over 75,000 views in total!! Vintage cards like 1951 Mantle, 33 Goudey Ruth, T206 Cobb, etc (copy and paste link below):

My guess is that since the auction item is IN China, that there are a lot of bidders from the Orient in on this and since they are the ones loaning us are money, they have plenty to spend
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • the seller is from china

  • From the same seller, the Drexler looks like a steal at $35
  • This is now getting into 52 Topps Mantle PSA 7 territory. Still 7 days to go and it's now over 30k! Unbelievable. Looks like very legit bidding too.

The Precious Metal Gems (PMG) have really taken off in the last few years and this was the first year to do it like this. There are a total of 100 parallels but only the first ten are green. It was/is pretty difficult to pull from a pack and there was probably a pretty health print run of packs for them. They have done other parallels /50 but the PMGs are the kings of the Fleer inserts. UD is launching a product with similar cards and the boxes aren't out yet but still go up in price. I believe something like 7 of the 10 Jordans are in a single collector's collection overseas. Even scrub greens go for huge money now.

You want 35,000 for your movable home? How about a 1997 Kobe Bryant?

It looks way over done to me but this looks like legit bidding.

Congrats to the seller; that is one heck of a sale.

Just think how little this card cost in 1997. image

This looks like the old shill and hook a fish scheme to me. There is no way the price got up this high legitimately but I concede it is very possible that a legitimate bid was placed by some poor sap with deep pockets. What is most likely is no one is that dumb and you will see this card for sale again within the next 6 months.
  • I guess if $35K to you is like a $100, you would drop it like it was nothing.

Not surprised there is some scamming going on....
