SlabbedCardPrices.com --- Free trial for all of April

Collectors Community:

A beta version of SlabbedCardPrices.com is now available! It contains pricing information for all types of graded cards (sports/non-sports) sold in various auction houses around the country. Please sign up (for free! for a whole month) and give it a try. I would like some feedback to make it more useful for graded card enthusiasts like myself.

I have tried to build something that would bring back the days of a monthly Beckett price guide (but this time all-inclusive, not just one sport or non-sport) without the horror of only certain years or certain types of cards being present.

The site is designed to present quick pricing info on ALL KINDS of graded cards which should benefit both the seller and buyer of graded cards. It follows top graders such as PSA, BGS/BCCG/BVG, GAI, and SGC.

Some perks: Graphical display of pricing info, can upload pics to the site of your graded cards for the whole community to see, data contain all years of cards graded up through present day (2012), data contain all kinds of cards from baseball to tennis to Star Wars, data contain most prominent auction sites' pricing info, data contain over 1.2 million finished pricing facts (and counting), presently data contain information on cards sold since 2009, and it's free for the month of April 2012 to everyone.

Things still working on: This month indexing changes will be finalized (changes such as two years for T-206 cards like 1909 and 1910 will be modified to reflect just one year 1909 for ease of navigation). Little details like these will be eliminated--the more feedback from you the better indexing.

Please sign up and give it a try. Email at slabbedcardprices@gmail.com with any suggestions or questions. Also, email with any requests for specific graded cards as I can speed up the indexing with such requests and get them into the database.

It's free for the entire month of April, so have fun.

Happy Collecting,

Jeff (Che)

    Hello.

Went to take a look at your site...when you try to set up an account to take a look at the site it immediately sends you to paypal for payment. Since I have no idea what the site is or what it offers there is no way I am going to pay money before seeing what it can do. You may want to rethink that as I am sure others will have the same issue.

I like the graph and the history. But I'm looking at 1957 Topps Baseball...and there are many, many cards listed that are incorrect.

ie - card #3: Hal Narragon, Tom Cheney, Mike McCormick, Dale Long are ALL listed? (Dale Long is the correct answer, of course)

    What am I doing wrong?

How long does it take to get the conf email when you register? It's bee about half an hour now..

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
  • Sometimes servers are slow or the email will get filtered to the spam/junk box. If it isn't there we will manually activate your account using the credentials used to register.

  • This is a good example of what will be done this month (indexing). Some numbered cards might have different names (which often occurs with multiple player cards). Indexing will resolve this and other minor issues.

  • I think it is great and wish you the best of luck with the site. If there is anything I can do to help feel free to shoot me a message.
  • Yes, that Jeter guy is everywhere. It seems he likes to be in many pre-1993 sets. (This is another example of indexing which will be completed in a few weeks).

What are your expectations for adding to the list of available modern sets/players?
    Examples;
2005 Topps Chrome Update Andrew McCutchen doesn't have a listing and there are only 4 cards listed in your database from that set. Is that the kind of thing that will be able to be updated quickly?
2011 Topps/Bowman baseball...no set...any idea when this type of thing will be available?
    Thanks

  • Cool new concept. I plugged in multiple cards that I own and the results were very suspect.

Looks interesting, waiting for my signup email. How are you getting your collecting your pricing data?
  • it might be helpful to list the average, high, and low near the quantity of priced cards below the graph. maybe have that indicated in the graph as well.

not sure how to combat this, but i found a few prices that were incredibly low; likely the qualifier was left out of the ebay title.

good luck and i hope the site does well!
  • Anybody receive any information on how pricing data is being collected ?
