1987 Donruss New Print Flaw/Error

I was recently sorting out for team sets, and came across this weird print flaw/error, thought it was a fluke until I uncovered two of each:
image

Notice on the Laudner card he has two eyebrows, and has a ghost-like effect of the hat on the left of his head.
On the Lombardozzi look at the line over his forehead, and the ghost-like effect of his shoulder closest to the bat.

I pulled two of each of these, of course they probably aren't worth anything at all, just wondering how many of these are out there?

Looks like the Black layer is way off on both cards.

    Interesting.

On the Laudner it looks like a faint image of Lombardozzi is on top of it. Same for the Lombardozzi. Not convinced that this is real though. (4/1)

Jeff got it, the off registered over print is from the other card. Id also say this is a 4/1

I dont think that could happen on a modern card that is not printed w/ a lithograph process, ie T206 even then there would need to be 2+ different sheets in set and those 2 cards would have to be in the same position on the sheet,.... unlikely image

cool though, if it were a Prewar card you would have fooled many IMO
  • Definitely looks like an overprint with the two players on each other's image. Just surprising to find anything at all going through a 5000 count box of 1987 Donruss.
