There is a scrath there, but it's exaggerated by the lighting. If I moved the lights around, it would be pretty well hidden. In hand, you'd have to look for it a bit.
Actually I bought the coin like that at the 2001 Long Beach show, it was already toned that way. I'm not really sure if the holder did it all by itself, or it was in an album before that. Either way, I'm glad it made it to my collection!
genuine if sent to pcgs. every coin i have sent in with a pin scratch like that comes back genuine. i stopped buying coins with any type of elongated scratch. keep it in it's current holder. that's my recommendation. i like the coin, btw, but pcgs is really strict on these scratches it seems.
