I did a price valuation on my box of 20...

and I'm not sure if it's accurate. I used the PCGS and Numismedia guides for direction, but I guess I should've used the Heritage prices realized instead. Oh well, I'll do that and let you know the difference in terms of percentage when I'm done.

Many folks who attempt the Bo20 concept do not just attempt to buy specific coins, but rather attempt to buy what they consider the most choice coin for the particular issue purchased. Therefore, this type of Bo20 might be worth more than price guides or auction listings.

    Excellent point.

If I ever reduced my collection to a box of 20 each would be the very best examples I owned, and surely worth more than price guides.

I just completed a price valuation on my box of 20 using Numismedia Wholesale figures and discovered there's a difference of about 20%. Of course you're right Tom different factors go in to determine value. But on a rough scale it allows you to see what your coins might be worth. As many people have said before, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
