Can anyone here explain this?

Why did the first lot sell for so much? What am I missing?

We were in the room when this lot went off. There was a phone bidder bidding against the book.

Perhaps it is hollow and there is a treasure map hidden in it. Other than that remote possibility, I have nothing.

I didn't even know there were any world coins in the March Baltimore sale.

Funny, they dump all the junk on the US collectors. And they sell!

Why did the first lot sell for so much?

Why did the second one sell for so little?
