I had a beautifully toned quarter at one time that had been stored in a bank envelope, and had the name of the bank toned across the obverse. I believe it was also eventually graded by PCGS; it was very cool in the hand.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

I have a couple 195x Lincolns with Whitman folder toning that have toning voids where the ink on the overleaf page listing their folders shielded the coin from the paper. I can't find the pictures at the moment. Maybe I'll take new ones tonight.
Edit: Cap'n H, coins can be on the 2nd or 3rd panel of the folder and tone like this.

I'm going to go home and cook up a few of these with the words "artificially toned" on the obverse. Some stick-on plastic letters and a pile of Taco Bell napkins ought to do it.
