Looks like a one-day auction, too, so not nearly as many people saw it as would have taken a chance with a low-ball bid. Congrats to the buyer for being in the right place at the right time.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Makes one appreciate a reserve price auction. I'd sure be ticked if I were the seller.
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
my thought was where toning meets bare silver is right where a removed "S" would be...but at that price...i'm sure there's worse things to gamble on as i sit here in vegas oh...i was like 4 mins too late on seeing it...dang it
