1939-d Jefferson NGC MS-67

Not a pro, but there is not a pat answer to that question.
A good starting point is PCGS 66 money, though.
And is this reverse of 40 or 38? there is a slight difference there.
The last four PCGS MS-66 (reverse of 40) auctions brought 121/121/195/86.
Sell me a coin or three!

Please explain the diffences
between a 1939 d with reverse
of 1938 and 1940. Not sure
if I got it correct !!!

check out the steps in these two pictures. wavy are reverse of 38, well defined straight lines are reverse of 40.

Yup, great photos of beautiful coins. You don't even need a close up to notice the difference in step detail.

mingot is right on the money in my opinion. If it is a great looking MS67 and not an MS66 in an MS67 holder, you might be able to 2X (no more then 3X) those prices. You'll need to find a buyer who does not already have one!
