Someone shaved around the rims and played with it.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Looks like a piece that was ground down to fool a vending machine into thinking it was a dime. And to think someone spent all that time to make a profit of 9 cents.

Looks like someone held it in a vise and used a file to make it dime size so it could trick a vending machine.

  • Back when I was kid in the early 60's a soft drink was a dime from a machine. Kids would sit around and rub pennies on the sidewalk to wear them down so they would fool a drink machine. Hey back then people made a little over $1.00 an hour and 10¢ was a lot of money. for a kid.

Yeah, My name is Melvin and I did this also. It was a pinball fix for me. We'd check our handywork in the pay phone. If we got a dial tone, we'd hit the return and it would spit it back out. If it would not accept the altered Lincoln, we'd go back to the shop grinder and continue our work. What can I say, at 14 we were always broke. image

Hey, is there like a twelve step program for this kinda thing??????
