Westward nickles era...

Hi guy's. Just as the New lincolns are having a tough time getting on board,so are these guy's.{2004-2005} Does anybody think these will ever catch fire? Especially the "peace" nickles{2004}? or are these dead,along with so many other,misfits?

Do you mean in general or errors or what?

If in general, these are going to go nowhere. There might be a bit more of demand for type sets, but there are so many rolls and bags of these floating around that it will take a long long time before that is overcome. I have a 50 dollar mint back I need to go through. Bought a few at face from a show a few months ago.

too many for generic ungraded ones to catch fire.

high grade, top pop ones may pull interest.

The Peace type are supposed to be valued a little higher than the others I think....I had a few rolls of them that I had picked up at a bank and I ended up dumping the rolls for about 50 cents over face per roll to a dealer at a small show back in the day. With the quantity minted, it would be hard for me to believe that you can do much better than I did but I hope you are able to prove me wrong.

Despite almost a billion mintage few of the bison nickels show up in circulation.

I believe I'll take what I have and start spending them to let someone else enjoy the design which IMO was one of the best in recent years.............

I know I don't have to remind you of checking for the scarce,"Speared Bison"?Probably,the only good aspect of the Westward Journey era!
