Nice... But Poorly Described Auction
I assume that buyers dropping that kind of coin did their research before bidding... but nearly $6K is still pretty nice... considering they aren't getting what is described in the auction title! It's listed as ALL PSA 6 7 8... yet, 58 of the 250 cards are PSA 5.5 or lower. In fact, with the exception of only a few, every name worthy HOFer in the lot is either an OC qualifier card or a PSA 5! Considering all that, pulling in nearly $6K is pretty decent.
This is one set I finally decided to take a stab at completing graded this year (not to finish this year... just to start it)... and I'll be going for a 5 6 7 set, with no qualifiers. Well, I don't feel so silly for starting that set now... the market is doing okay if that auction is any indication (at least to me).
