Does anybody know when is the best day to be ending an auction on? When you would get the highest price, most viewings? Thanks

mon eve 8pm - 9 30pm eastern
Tuesday same time, except I dont get the local push from my customers(if something there intrested in) if its coin club meeting night.
wed, and thurs same times 7-9:30
fri around 11-2 pm eastern, but only for stuff that i dont care about what it sells for. Friday night sucks for ending auctions.
sat around 9-10am , and then again after 3pm. Not sat night though
sunday after church, up to about 7pm
stay away from ending around s pecial events such as the super bowl, world series games, march madness game times, this time a year debates, stuff that draws lots of viewers to TV. Top news stories/coverage would also , but the problem with that is you never know when that occurs.
Note: there are always exceptions to the rule.

My thinking is that people already looking for coins Sunday night. TeleTrade has an auction ending then. Other forum members have auctions ending around that time. So bidders have learned that many coins end Sunday so they tend to look at that time. The browse eBay while waiting on other venues, or vice versa. Anyway that is my theory and I'm sticking to it.
A few months ago I was on my way from work to pick up my daughter and an auction for a Jefferson 43/2 in PCGS 65FS was ending (4:30 PM EST) and I didn't get off the road in time to bid (yes, i am a manual sniper). And it went for $571. It should have went for closer to $1,000 based on the grade and pictures. I know that one data point doesn't make a very good trend, but this was probably quite a horror show for the seller of the coin at the end of the day!
<< <i>Sunday through Thursday. Never on Fridays or Saturdays. >>
Funny though I have my highest number of sales for fixed price items on Friday afternoon to evening. And the auctions I had for last Friday did OK not great but OK.
Aren't a lot of people paid on Fridays?

Interesting; I would have thought that pay day (usually Fridays) would have yielded a better return.
I told him that is a good question.

my humble guess is the day there are the most buyers
.

I'd make it a point to open them at bizarre hours to get rid of the manual snipers.
Maybe this.
Watch out for special occasions like holiday weekends and sporting events, etc.
