What does PSA designation "authentic" mean for a wax pack?

Browsing eBay under "wax pack PSA", I came across this one:

Authentic

What does that mean? Can someone just request "authentic" if a pack does not meet their needs?

  • I'd assume it just means they requested an authentic rather than a numerical grade?

It means that the submitter asked for a minimum numerical grade. If the pack doesn't grade the minimum (which you don't know as a buyer), they will label it Authentic.
