What's with the stupid camera angles in NCAA tourney games?

I'm tired of the camera shots from overhead, from the far end of the court, from behind the goal during free throws. What in the F is going on! I want to see the game from the side of the court, like its been done for years and years.
The producers of these games are idiots.

i did enjoy seeing the different angles of Acy's dunk about 3 minutes into the second half last night. i'm not really a dunk fan, but that one was good.

the side of the court angle was of course the best though!image

Just like the centerfield shot of pitcher and batter, center court is the best angle. Stick with it.

The camera guy is new, he hails from the porn industry, cut him a little slack.

Glad I'm not the only one. The alternative angles are nice on replays but not during the actual game. Terrible.

I disagree. It gives you a different look at what is going on, the motion, cuts, screens etc. It gives people a different look at what is going on. Now I dont want to watch the entire game on a different angle but it is a nice change.

I am only speculating here on pure hope, but I am hoping that the purpose of experimenting with different camera angles is to try to find an optimal camera angle for 3D TV. The reason I say this, is: watch a college hoops game in 3D. It's terrible. Its a freaking freak show. Everything's wrong. You got the fans in the stands in the forefront and it draws all the focus away from the game. In fact it makes the action look even smaller than regulat TV. Then, even worse, you have the refs with their backs to you. Picture this, this means is there are too many spots where they are bending over with their backs to you, and well, here's the picture, you get a refs behind side coming right at at your face in 60" HD 3D. It's Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Men on the Moon(ing).
