Topps reveals its short print card of Tim Tebow in a Jets uniform.

Tim Tebow hasn’t gone through a single practice as a Jet, but fans can already see what he will look like in Gang Green.

On Thursday, just one day after the Jets acquired Tebow from Denver, the Topps Company released a preview photo of a football card that features the former Bronco star in a Jets uniform.

The card will be a short-print card in the Bowman Football set, which launches in May, according to a spokesperson.

The company expects it to be a hot item. And given all the hype — and trade interest — revolving around the backup quarterback with the career 47.3 completion percentage, it’s hard to argue with that assumption.

  • The Tebow hype is kind of Linsane.

The one thing I do love is his calmness and faith. He brings something different than a lot of players in that aspect, no matter what the sport is. Most at his age are immature and full of arrogance. He brings a much different flavor to the game, and I think that is a lot of what is attractive, not neccasarily his game.

Should be interesting to see what these Bowman SP's will go for. I always load up on Bowman Baseball, might need to buy a bit of Football too.

They are, the article I read said Manning in a Bronco's uni and Tebow in a Jets uni. Article

Oh, and this: “These cards are going to be a big deal,” Sapir said, “and they’re going to be super valuable.”

    SUPER VALUABLE!

They look hand drawn. I've seen them do better airbrushing new uniforms on other cards. I think the 2 Shortprinted cards in 2012 Topps - Reyes and Pujols look great.

Edit for my really poor grammar

It's an attempt at HDR (High Dynamic Range). Panini's done it on a few products recently, like Gridiron Gear.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Hope that stays in football, not sure I like it.

Love the 'More you Know' meme. GI Joe's "Knowing is half the battle" also appropriate.

An certified autographed version of both may cause ebay to crash.

They could have done a better job on the Tebow card. You can't see his jersey number and it looks too fabricated.
