Paul Goldschmidt Collector. Just got a nice addition!

So if you don't know I'm a Paul Goldschmidt fan. Why exactly is yet to be determined. Maybe it was I needed to find someone else when the Bryce Harper fad came into play. The guy is a beast, and a lot of talk that he is a great candidate for the ROY.

Yes he is on modern cards...

So anyway I always am looking for his Chrome or Topps Rookies. For 2011 Chrome I own several of his Gold Auto's /50, and I own 5 of his Orange Auto's /25. They don't come cheap, but look great in PSA holders. I also own his Superfractor 1/1, and just today or last night I picked up his 2011 Topps RC Diamond embedded card 1/1.

Very excited to this to my collection. Real Diamond Topps RC

Does anyone else own any of these diamond embedded cards?

I don't have any, but I really like the looks of that card.

Mike, do you have any 2011 Bowman Chrome Eric Hosmer auto's? I bought one raw a couple months ago for $200, its at PSA now. The latest one on ebay brought $360 raw. One seller said there are only 250 of them, and Hosmer has no refractors /500 or blue refractors /150.

Just wondering if you've heard anything about that or know if thats true or not.

Goldschmidt doesn't qualify for the ROY. To be a rookie, you must have fewer than 130 career at-bats. Goldschmidt ended 2011 with 156.

SF's Pablo Sandoval had the same issue in 2009 when he started the season with 17 AB too many. He'd have easily ran away with the ROY otherwise.

Awesome card, I'm hoping to snag him as a value pick in my fantasy league.

I pulled his Bowman prospect card out of a pack last year. Not worth much, but it's still a cool card! I like when collectors become interested in young prospects! image
