Question about about signed collectibles from a rookie

Hey guys,

I'm not a sports memorabilia collector, but I have a couple of items that (I think) are worth some decent money and was hoping to receive some feedback from seasoned veterans such as yourselves. The first item I have is a full-sized Washington Husky football replica helmet featuring autographs from several of the most prominent members of the 1991 national championship team. I purchased the helmet a few years ago just to put on a shelf, but when I heard the 1991 team was coming back this past fall to celebrate their 20th year reunion, I made it my mission to get as many autographs on it as I could. I purchased a customized display case for it about a week later. Here is a picture of the helmet:

The second item I own is a game-style Marques Tuiasosopo autographed jersey. I usually browse UW Husky items on eBay once every week, and one day I struck gold when I saw this on there. Surprisingly the item did not have a reserve and I was the only one that bid on it so I only paid about $70 for it. Every indication leads me to believe this jersey was worn in a game because it features fully stitched lettering and numbering, but since I don't know for sure I don't want to advertise it as a game worn.

The biggest thing to note about both items is that none of the autographs have been authenticated. Obviously I know the autographs on the helmet are 100% genuine, but I'm sure someone's word is worth squat in the memorabilia industry. As for the jersey, I've compared it to to pictures of other autographs he's signed via Google images and by all indications it looks real, but unless it's authenticated or signed in person there is always some doubt out there.

I recognize the fact that these items will probably only draw local interest and a lot of members on here may not know the significance of the player's featured on the items, so I won't bore you guys with Husky football history. I will say that the 1991 Husky football team is still legendary in the Seattle area and Marques Tuiasosopo is regarded by many as one of the top three quarterbacks in school history. Also, the helmet has an autograph from All-American defensive lineman, Outland Trophy Award winner, and former #1 draft pick Steve Emtman. Emtman is regarded in this area as the best overall Husky football player in school history.

If you guys were me, how would you go about getting the most value out of these items? On one hand, both of them are VERY rare pieces and I'm sure a lot of wealthy UW football donors would like to get their hands on them. On the other hand, none of the autographs are authenticated.

Here is a gallery I made with more pictures:

Thank you for your time and any possible tips or advice you may have!
