Most expensive non RC or ERR GEM card from the 80'S

What would be the most expensive Baseball non RC or ERR graded PSA 10 card from the 1980's? I thought that it would be a interesting topic.

1985 Topps Mini Nolan Ryan PSA 10. A PSA 9 went for $3,030, so I'd have to think a 10 would be around double that (maybe).

1985 Topps mini? Just checked VCP and I think we have a winner! What are 1985 Topps Mini's and where were they distributed?

You may still want to disqualify it since it wasn't actually a "pack issued" card. From the Standard Catalog:

    1985 Topps Minis

Never released for public sale, quantities of these enigmatic cards nevertheless reached the hobby market. Smaller than the standard 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" Topps cards, the "mini" version measures 2-3/8" x 3-9/32", 10% smaller than regular cards. Printed in Canada, the minis use a whiter cardboard stock than the regular '85 Topps, making the color printing more vibrant. The minis were the result of new printing equipment by O-Pee-Chee, Topps' Canadian licensee. Only 132 of the 792 cards in the '85 Topps set are found in mini version. Only about 100 of each mini card are known, including about 15% blank-backs.

Link to a PSA thread on the set.

    A lowly 8.....

    Some other candidates:

1980 Pepsi -- almost any Hall of Famer
1981 Topps Pete Rose PSA 10 has sold for >$1,500
1982 Blackless Hall of Famers in PSA 10 [especially from the rare sheet]

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Didn't the first 1986 Topps PSA 10 Ryan go for thousands a few years ago?

Now there are 26 or them.

Good Memory. You are absolutely correct. Looks like it has fallen off VCP history, but I believe it was $3060.

Learn something new every day around these parts. That mini is definitely a better-looking card than the regular '85.
