20th Century Type Set -- MS Only Now Online
The With Varieties version at least. Kudos to BJ for getting this one up for us. Same as the old 1900 set except no proof coins and add the SMS piece from the 90's, the Narrow Rim SBA, and remove the Sac.

I better get a move on and get mine added. I may be the 1st time for me in the top 10, well at least for a little while. I too have been waiting for this.

Some guys like proof only coins, some like MS only coins. Some like a mix of both. That's why there are three 1950-present sets. One for each crowd of people.
I personally don't like proof coins, because for me, they are relatively lifeless and dull, all looking the same unless you are talking classic coins. Modern proofs can't be found toned very often, so I like to stick with MS only. I see the same set and think of it as the 1950-date MS set with 2 extra proof coins.

Why is that like stealing?
Take my Combined 20th Century set. I have a neat set, and realized that I could play the Combined Set by buying 2 proof coins (Accented Kennedy & Silver State Quarter). I like having that set complete, but cannot compete in it, because proof coins are usually 69DC while MS are 67. Proof guys get a 2 point advantage on almost every slot until you hit the pre-65 material. So I compete in the MS Only 20th Century, but don't mind having the Combined, if for no other reason than that was the set that got everybody started here on this board.
Keith
When will you get some more scans of your proof coins up? Sure would like to see some more pics of those pre-65 pieces.
Keith
That 1907 dime I have (the one Lord M. likes the reverse of) upgraded from a 63 to a 63 cam when I sent it in. I reposted the new cert number. No more image. I'll bet PCGS still has the image. I guess I'll rescan it but I did lose more than one image that way. Anyway my new scanner seems to take better scans so it is worth redoing.
I was pretty jealous of the neat icons people had. So I finally made one from my new one dollar gold. It looks even better in this 100 x 100 scan than in a higher resolution one! It almost looks proof like. Not bad for a MS coin! Naturally I'm tickled by that effort so will get more images posted shortly.
A couple updates on this new type set.
Keith is 1st place and the Jordan collection is #2. I'm sure mine will be in a while.

I'm sure you have me bet out. I do not have the Barber Half yet. When I added my set it showed 91.11% complete and a grade of 65.56, which i'm sure is about 4th or 5th if I'm lucky

That would be ahead of me at the moment... I'm 91% with a 64.84 average.
But...
I have a MS68RD 1999 Lincoln in the mail (yes, When the 2000/2001 coins were eliminated, I had some holes to fill). I also just bought the 1917 MS64FH SLQ. Those will bring me to 95% with an average near 64.9
Sounds like I will be eating some dust for sure, cause those sound like some real beauties coming. Also as Keith has pointed out in an earlier thread, that the barbers are the heavy weights. Since I do not have the Barber half yet, the Grade point average is not how we are ranked. It is the set rating, which you surely will smoke me. It will be at least a couple weeks or so
Have a great weekend all

You' re right... I was forgetting about the weights.
