Authentic Mickey Mantle & Billy Martin Autographs?

Do these Mantle & Martin autographs look authentic? I have a chance to purchase this from a fellow collector but wanted to get opinions from some board members here. So what do ya think? Do they look legit?

Mantle looks unusual to me -- depends somewhat on when it may have been signed.

Martin looks generally good, although the way the B is constructed seems different than examples I've had. You can see how your example the "B" looks like the number 3, whereas the examples I've seen start at the bottom left for starting the B. Here's an example of a Billy Martin that I recently sold:

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • PSA cannot even get Ty Cobb and hundreds of others right. Now you want people on this board to authenticate your auto by picture? Does not seem very wise to me. There are site dedicated to autographs and fraud that goes with them.

They are doing the same thing that PSA and JSA does, and that is give an opinion. There are very knowledgeable people on here and sportscollectors.net who know their stuff when it comes to autos. What the hell gives with all the mouthy newbs here lately?

Exactly, all I'm asking for are opinions. Fellow board members on here have helped me alot with avoiding forgeries. I've learned alot but still don't know everything (nor will I ever know everything), so I turn to the very knowledgeable board members.

  • Mantle looks consistent with sig from mid to late 1950s. Martin looks fine as well. I am no auto expert but I have seen consistent 1950s Mantle sigs that look about the same. All of the loops and characters look legit as well. You need to have it authenticated anyway.
  • I think both have a strong shot...
